Map Reading and Land Navigation

Ragnarok Tactical’s Map Reading and Land Navigation course is for anyone interested in learning the art and science of navigation using a paper map and magnetic compass. Students will become proficient in map reading and land navigation, and develop the knowledge and skills to support route selection and team movement. The course will be delivered in two parts.

First students will participate in day of classroom (or distance learning) learning to use a map and demonstrating proficiency with the theory of map reading.

Second students may attend a field exercise where they will navigate with a partner where they will be given directions or locations and need to navigate a route to pre-determined locations.
